In April of 2011 I finally decided to have LASIK.
I have worn glasses since the 2nd grade and starting wearing contacts in Junior High School. My prescription progressed to the point that I couldn’t see anything in the distance without correction.
Lasik has always intrigued me and I knew I wanted to have it done one day. During my internships in Optometry school I worked with and performed follow-up visits for patients who had received refractive surgery (LASIK or PRK). I observed that not all surgeons have the same results and patients weren’t receiving the same care as those who went to TLC.
My experience has been extremely positive with post-operative care for my LASIK patients. When it was time for me to have surgery, there was no question in my mind where I would go.
Today my vision is 20/15 uncorrected and my eyes feel great! I never have to deal with my eyes getting dry at night with contact lenses, or fumbling around with glasses just to get out of bed.
I am so grateful for Dr. Wexler and his staff at TLC. I love talking to patients about my experience and the technology behind this life-changing procedure.
